Our Vision

We are educators who are fighting forward in unity for our students, families, members, and communities. Our team of experienced educators is committed to advancing the demands for public education that are diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

Our team understands the needs of now. We can't wait, and we can't go back. Our team is experienced in strategizing with chapter leaders to build strong sites. Our team has knowledge and experience with coalition building and cross local collaboration which is paramount to this continued fight.

We believe fighting forward is growing Community Schools, Green Healthy Schools, Black Student Achievement Plan, LGBTQIA+ Rights and Immigration Supports. Fighting Forward is ensuring that we are meeting the needs of our members, students, and our communities. 

In addition, we are aware that election season can get very stressful within our union and even shift our focus away from what is truly important.  Our goal over the next few months is to elevate organizing, support our strong bargaining work, and continue representing you as we have been in our current leadership roles.  Our commitment to you, our union family, is the driving force behind why we are running as a team and why we are centering fighting forward in unity.  Together we can win!
